The Thin Line between Celebrities and Politicians

I do not want to be someone who sits upon their throne and watches as our nation continues on a landslide into self destruction. I do all I can to invoke thought from others and hope that others analyze situations with a sense of reality. I am someone who could never be accused of withholding my opinion on certain subjects for that fact that I am usually very passionate in my beliefs. I want to see those who blindly follow ridiculous belief systems or those who blindly support those destroying our country to immediately reach an awakening point.

I am concerned that our nation has not drawn a clear line between celebrity and politics. America has become an international embarrassment since Sarah Palin was selected to run as vice president in the 2008 elections. Gracefully, America was spared from a term that would have been controlled by ignorant, inexperienced politicians. However, we have allowed the media and blind followers to grant Sarah Palin a life in the spotlight even after her run as vice president. Reality television was already a thorn in the side of America's sanity, but now we have even allowed someone as repulsive and unintelligent as Sarah Palin to become involved as a celebrity.

We have heard Sarah Palin make numerous unintelligent statements in the past, but somehow it seems that Americans have either allowed them to be swept under the rug or the media has been allowed to sanctify her personal insanity. I would like to suggest that we finally block Fox News and affiliates that have defended Palin's stupidity in the past. I would like to suggest that ignore media brainwashers with hidden agendas, like: Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly and Rush Limbaugh. I would like to suggest that we hold politicians accountable for the ignorant, unintelligent statements that they make. I would like to suggest that we stand up to celebrites, such as: Sarah Palin, Donald Trump, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Roseanne Conner and Alec Baldwin before our nation reaches complete absurdity.

The recent shooting in Arizona cost 6 people their lives (including a nine year old girl) and also left over a dozen others injured. In the wake of the tragedy, I am left to wonder if America will finally punish Palin for her eccentric stupidity. Gabrielle Giffords was a congresswoman from Arizona who had been targeted with bullet points on Palin's map and was shot twice during the incident. We all know that Palin was not directly related to the incident, but it is a good possibility that the shooters ideas were sparked by Palin's violent rhetoric. There is a possibility that the gunman took "don't retreat, reload" a bit too seriously.

Palin is obsessed with the spotlight so much that she constantly crosses lines that should never be crossed. We should not condone Palin's childish behavior or allow her to be both a politician and a celebrity. The worst part is that Palin has never had the intentions of running for president in 2012. She knows that she lacks the experience and intelligence required to lead our nation, but she has used politics to create a platform in reality television. Where she can display insanity along with other nitwits like Kate Gosselin and the Duggar's. Rather, Palin intends to stay in the celebrity spotlight while using her position to promote other politicians that follow her conservative agenda.

That's correct, I stated that all of Palin's followers are being played and used for a hidden agenda. Anyone that truly believes Palin will run for president in 2012 has sadly mistaken. The president only earns $400,000 a year, while Palin could make a million in one week by pushing the hidden agenda of the tea party through speeches and releasing books or television shows. Sarah Palin has no intentions of being a politician, which is why she was only governor in Alaska for two years. That's right, Palin's only experience was 2 years as governor in Alaska, may I reiterate, Alaska. Yet, somehow she is obligated to tell us how our country should be ran.

This is a wake up call to all the ignorant individuals that hang by every absurd thing that Palin states. This is a wake up call to our nation for allowing celebrities to also be politicians. We need to act immediately against the stupidity that has been allowed to run rampant in our country lately. As Americans, we need to ignore the voices of the media and rely solely on our own instinct and knowledge. We need to intervene before our nation self-destructs.
